2) Nature of engagement Purely on temporary and contract basis as Trainee

further one more year based on requirement,
satisfactory performance and approval of
Competent Authority.
The Selected candidatures should work six days a
week and should be willing to work in different
shifts

5) Remuneration
(i) Consolidated remuneration of Rs.20,000/- per
month.
(ii) Hostel accommodation will be provided within
NITW Campus on payment basis subject to
availability.
(iii) No additional perks or allowances are
admissible.
6) Eligibility Must hold a Post Graduate degree in Library and
Information Science (M.L.I.Sc) from a recognized
university with at least 55% marks.
7) Age Limit 28 years
8) Desirable Abilities, Skills and
Knowledge
• Basic computer applications knowledge.
• Proficient communication skills in English
and Hindi.
9) Termination of engagement The engagement is terminable by either side on
giving 7 days’ notice to the other side without citing
any reason thereof.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Interested candidates are advised to apply for the trainee positions through online
portal https://nitw.ac.in/Careers/ under Project / Contractual Staff on or before
dt.30.11.2024. Candidates have to bring a set of self-attested photocopies of their
eligibility claims along with original certificates, an original identity proof issued
by any Government body and two passport size colour photographs, when called
for selection process on shortlisting.
2. Maximum age limit is relaxable for 3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 five years for SC/ST
category, 10 years for PWD candidates as on the last date of receipt of applications
in eligible.
3. Trainees will be selected based on the performance in the written test/Interview.
4. Details with regard to final date, time and venue of the written test/interview
will be placed on the website later. The eligibility will be reckoned as on the last
date of on-line application. Candidates are advised to visit the website from time
to time.
5. NITW strives to have a workforce which also reflects gender balance and female
candidates are encouraged to apply.
6. Any experience certificate produced by the candidate shall be issued by competent
authorities.
7. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the trainee positions notified and reject
any or all the applications without assigning any reason.
8. Canvassing in any manner would entail disqualification of the candidature.
9. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence/
interim queries will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the
process of selection/ interview.
10. Candidates will have to produce original documents in support of all the
particulars mentioned in their application at the time of document verification.
11. The Institute reserves the right to relax eligibility criteria in deserving cases i.e.
candidates with brilliant professional career with specialized expertise pertaining
to the trainee position notified for.
12. Depending upon the number of applicants and/ or requirement, the Institute
reserves the right to conduct an appropriate test, apart from any other selection
process decided by the competent authority.
13. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the selection process (Test and/ or Interview).
