Job
Description |
1.
Creation/Updation of bibliographic
records of the library in the Library Software under the supervision of
other library staff. 2.
Data Validation (According to
AACR, MARC & Other Standards) 3.
Data Migration from other formats
to Library Software 4.
Cataloguing and Classification
related work 5.
Arrangement/Shelving/Re-Shelving
of Books in Stack/Cupboard 6.
Printing and Labelling of Barcode
Stickers, Spine Labels etc. 7.
Other routine library work on
rotation basis, whenever required.

Note |
1.
Library Intern may require to work on shift basis on
working days or on public holidays as per the requirement of the library. 2.
The duration of the appointment shall be two months
only.

The eligible and willing candidates are requested to send

Selection Process: Tentatively Third
Week of November, 2021.
●
Applications received after the closing date or received
incomplete in any respect are liable to be summarily rejected.
●
Once the application is submitted, no subsequent request
for any changes/alteration will be considered/granted.
●
Mere fulfilment of minimum educational qualification does
not entitle any candidate for a call for test/interview. A short listing
criterion may be set higher than the minimum advertised.
●
The University reserves the right to call all the
eligible candidates or shortlisted candidates for interview / test after
screening by the University. The University may conduct a screening test
if the number of applications received is large in number. No interim
communication on the status of application will be entertained.
●
Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification of
candidature.
●
Any information provided by the candidate, at any stage
is found to be incorrect or mismatched due to any reasons; the candidate would
not be allowed to appear for the interview.
